Tina's Timepieces
Learn with me as I record my restoration of timepieces.
Hi! Welcome to Tina's Timepieces! I am starting my journey of watch and clock repair. I have always enjoyed working with my hands. At 11 I took up sewing. In high school, I took up woodworking. Since then, I have taken up a wide variety of crafting hobbies. I even changed the brakes on my car!
I have always had a fascination with clocks and watches. My husband was watching a YouTube video on watch repair. It triggered something in my mind. Upon learning that I love watches, Hubby bought me a Stowa watch. It is a beautiful piece. The back has a sapphire crystal making the mechanics of the watch visible. It is fascinating to watch the "heart" beat.
I have several timepieces ready to work on including watches made by Rolex, Seiko, Waltham, and Hamilton. I have a Bulova quartz clock and a few antique wind-up clocks. I have started the restoration of some of these.
Hubby's heart stopped when he found that I had completely dismantled his brass shelf clock. Hubby is fine. The clock will also be fine when I am done with it. Videos of the restoration will be posted to YouTube.
The restoration processes are being recorded on video. Once edited, the videos will be posted on my YouTube channel. I will be giving away the projects, except for Hubby's clock, when they are done.
Thank you for stopping by!
